Website Layouts

You have a choice between two different website layouts (templates) for your SchoolSite. You can easily upload new banner images and other website images to change the appearance of your website. All the font types, colours and styles can also be easily edited through your website Control Panel.

Layout 1 ‘Dixi’

Dixi is a layout, or template, that has a large attractive banner image at the top of the page. Links and resources are in a left sidebar and right sidebar – the content for the pages is in the middle. This is the default template all SchoolSites have when they are setup. By default, Dixi has images that are suited to Primary school – see a live example of Dixi template. FYI Pages, news items, topics, links are exactly as they will appear when your new SchoolSite is setup.

Layout 2 ‘Nelo’

Nelo is a template with a very visually striking website homepage. The default images with this template are suited to a Secondary school but these can be easily changed for those of a Primary school or even Preschool. You can also add your logo where ‘schoolsites.ie’ logo is at the top right.

The other pages on this website have the content on the left side and a right sidebar with news items, resources etc (see screenshot, right). Every website has Dixi, the previous template, installed as standard but you can change over to Nelo very easily – we provide detailed instructions on how to do this.
